Mia J. Woods is an Orlando-based actor, singer, and dancer. She has previously appeared in the University of Central Florida’s mainstage productions of The Grumpiest Boy in the World (U/S Zachary) and Indecent (Chana), the latter earning her a Kennedy Center American Theatre College Festival Irene Ryan nomination for her work. She has worked as a costumed character at Disney World, where she participated in meet and greets and performed as Dopey in Mickey’s Boo to You! Halloween Parade in 2022. She has also worked as a performer at Universal Studios Orlando. She was a scare actor in Halloween Horror nights during the fall of 2021.
She has also acted in a number of short films in the Orlando area, including the short film “How To: Be the Perfect Boyfriend”, which was a part of the 2019 Orlando Independent Filmmakers LOL Challenge. She received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in this film.
She is currently a senior at the University of Central Florida (expected graduation fall 2023), where she is pursuing a BFA in Acting. She is currently working towards getting certified by the Society of American Fight Directors in both unarmed combat and quarterstaff.
In her spare time, she enjoys doing puzzles with friends and playing word games. She likes participating in anything that activates her brain and challenges her, such as sudoku or Boggle. She also enjoys going on hikes, paddleboarding, and traveling to the Nation Parks with her family. She has traveled to places such as Yellowstone, Redwood Nation Park, and Dry Tortugas National Park.
